🎧 Need New Art Sesh Playlists? Say less!

Updated: Sep 7, 2021

Painting for me is a therapeutic time to check-out for an hour or two and think of nothing but the music bumping in my ears and the painting or drawing in front me. Unfortunately, I have a singular 23 minute "chill painting playlist" that I listen to on repeat, so I've decided to take one for the team and acquire some new gems on Spotify! 💎

Here are the four I have for us this week:

🧘‍♀️Chill Rap "Crumpet" by Bella Almeida (Duke '22) - 1hr 26min

For those of you who are feens for Mac Miller and similar easy-going rap bops, this is the chill painting sess playlist I made for you. It's the mood match of the playlist you would put in the background for a relaxed kickback with your friends. [here]

🕺Old Pop "bops" by Nina Brockelman (Duke '23) - 2hr 38min

If you're in a happy 2000s vibes and want to recall memories and songs you forgot existed, this is the way to go. I've been listening to this maybe a little too often lately while I get ready. Guaranteed better mood. [here]

🌴House "Tulum 2021" by Marshall Heiser (Duke '22) - 3hr 33min

If you want to feel like you're in a vibey club while you paint, Marshall has granted you that gift. This playlist is full of upbeat house music that will have you transported to the party beaches of Tulum. [here]

📈Upbeat Rap "Out of the feels and into the chiiiiills" by Alec James (Duke '23) - 55 min

Are you painting to get over something? Or are you finally feeling good enough to paint? Alec understood the assignment and created this playlist of optimistic with lots of Kanye + other optimistic, relaxed beats. [here]

Did you like these recommendations? Or do you have a certain style of music you would like us to find for your next painting sess? Let me know and comment below!
