I am a student at Duke University from Miami, FL. Art is special to me because it has the power to change perception. My art challenges perception by showing how a few dabs of paint can transform miscellaneous pieces of trash into something considered valuable, even beautiful. Through my art, I hope to make people realize that every item we use has a life, and that life doesn’t end once we throw it away in the trash.
